The Hawkins TRAIL PLACE is the most cost effective way to accurately place liquid fertilizer with your planter. The unit cuts into the ground using twin 14 inch blades, with one blade to move the soil to the side. The leading blade runs parallel to the seed bed to cut and hold it while the second moves the soil. The stainless steel tube runs down between the blades and places the fertilizer in the bottom of the groove. A set of tine springs will then close the ground to prevent fertilizer and moisture loss.

When used with a fluted coulter and applied under pressure, your fertilizer can be placed to the depth set by the coulter blade. Trash and ground conditions create little problem for the "N"-Forcer. Tests have shown that the placement of the fertilizer is precise. Loss of fertilizer and soil moisture due to evaporation is minimal. Ideal for use in standing alfalfa, ridge till and no till crops. The "N"-Forcer will attach to most brands of coulters.
